Extra time for the mosque building in Alvesta

Two years ago, the plans for a new cultural center with a new mosque on Svampvägen in Alvesta were presented.

According to an agreement with Alvesta municipality, there was a requirement that the building's foundation should be completed before the end of April. But now the municipality announces that Allians Kaukasus, which is behind the building, gets extra time. Instead, the foundation must be completed by December 2019 at the latest.

“The basis for the decision is that the building permit process has expired on time, due to reasons which the applicants have not been able to influence. And that in turn has led to the plans for construction not being able to continue as planned”, writes Alvesta municipality in a press release.
