Music festival in Alvesta

Since the music school was moved to Stenlycke, it has not had the same opportunities to organize outdoor shows for the students of the music school. All music teachers have therefore made a decision to organize several different concerts before the end of the term so that the students will have an opportunity to perform on stage. The concerts take the form of a festival week.

– This is a great opportunity for the students to really try to play music for an audience, says Jon Stavert, music teacher at Alvesta’s music school.

The performances take place between 3 and 6 June at several different locations around Alvesta, including the Hagaparken on June 4. The evening begins with a samba train that moves from the music school premises in Stenlycke further away to Hagaparken where the music school's students perform.

– All students are welcome to participate, regardless of whether they have played a semester or more, and everyone should be able to show what they can, says Ola Af Trampe.
