No smoking at Växjö's beaches

Växjö is about to ban smoking in the public bathing areas. The proposal comes from Tomas Thornell and Arijeta Regi from the Social Democrats. They did not think that the extended ban on smoking was sufficient, but suggested that it should also apply to the municipality's bathing areas.

"Unfortunately it is smoked and fumbled directly on the beach at many bathing places in Växjö municipality," says the S-marked letter according to Smålandsposten. Now the municipal council's working committee has dealt with the motion, and they propose that the municipal council agree.
