Johannes Anyuru, who grew up in Araby in Växjö, was awarded the August Prize 2017 for his novel "De kommer att drunkna i sina mödrars tårar" (They will drown in their mothers' tears). The celebrated novel will play at Unga Klara in Stockholm next fall. Farnaz Arbabi stands for dramatization and direction.

"De kommer att drunkna i sina mödrars tårar (They will drown in their mothers' tears) is a dystopian yet hopeful book, which brilliantly weaves the parallel time universe into a frighteningly current story. It gave me goosebumps when I read it and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since then. Getting to work with the science fiction genre on stage is also something of a dream come true!” says Farnaz Arbabi in a press release.
