A man employed at preschool photographed children in Växjö Simhall
A man in his 30s is convicted of abusive photography after taking pictures of preschool children in Växjö swimming pool. He took a picture of two boys from behind when one was completely naked and the other was wearing swimsuits in February last year.
In the interrogation, the man claimed that he wanted to take a picture of himself and that the children happened to end up in the picture. But according to Växjö District Court's judgment, it is clear that the children are the main subject and that the picture was taken without their knowledge when they were facing away from the camera.
Whether the man convicted would use the image for a sexual purpose has not emerged but when he posted the image on Snapchat it is about abusive photography. The man, who was currently working at preschool, is forced to pay 18,600 Swedish crowns in fines.
