Alvesta could get a high school

Politicians in Alvesta want to investigate whether a new municipal high school could become a reality. Since 2014 there has been no municipal high school in Alvesta, but now politicians believe that there may be enough students who want to study in the municipality for them to be able to open one.

–The feeling today is that young people can very well imagine going to a school if it delivers and maintains high quality, says Sebastian Ohlsson, chairman of the Board for Work and Learning (S), to the Smålandsposten.

If the new school become a reality, the idea is that it will be completed within five years. The plan is to have two to four theoretical and two to four practical programs.
