Summer may feel far away, but Alvesta Municipality is already looking for people who can work during the summer.

The municipality seeks temporary workers who can work in elderly care or as personal assistants, and to attract staff, the municipality chooses to award certain bonuses.

– Those who choose to spend their vacation at other times than during the summer can get a small bonus for that, says the care manager Mats Hoppe to Smålandsposten.

Thus, permanent staff can receive bonuses, but the bonus can also go to newly retired staff who work extra and to temporary workers who stay longer than five weeks.

– It is very bad to have suitable labor and great competition for the summer, he says to the Smålandsposten.

Mats Hoppe also believes that it is important that people who do not speak good Swedish can get a job, although the lack of language can be a problem in the beginning.

– I find it very important that relatively newly arrived people come into the business, although the linguistic part can be a stress for the organization in the short run.
