Växjö company Alvestaglass changes company name to Lohilo Foods. The company has started the journey to become a food-tech company with a focus on expansion in the world.

– We are changing names for the upcoming IPO and to attract foreign investors and to market Lohilo. We already have six exporting countries and next year we are targeting ten new countries. When we export Lohilo, investors will find it easier to find more information if we are called Lohilo Foods as a company, says Richard Hertvig, CEO and one of the founders.

40 years ago, Alvestaglass started manufacturing in Alvesta. For over 30 years, it was a small local ice cream company before Dan Isaksson and Richard Hertvig bought the company. The factory was moved to Växjö and since then they have expanded the range, launched new brands, expanded in Sweden and acquired several companies.
