Announcement about the new swimming pool in Växjö

The municipal boards chairman Anna Tenje and Moderaterna in Växjö have decided where they want Växjö's new swimming pool - at Växjösjön.

– Our idea is that we should build on the swimming pool's existing place, says the municipal board chairman Anna Tenje (M) to Smålandsposten.

Earlier this year, several options were presented for where the new swimming pool could be located. The proposals were at Vaktvägen, Bäckaslöv or Växjösjön.

– I think you should respect these issues. It is complicated. One does not solve such a thing in a second. There are many interests to be fulfilled. It is not just swimming. The Simhallen is also one of Växjö's largest meeting places for exercise swimmers, exercisers and also other types of activities. It is the perspective that we have tried to meet in the different places from different perspectives, says Anna Tenje to Smålandsposten.
