Birth room is closed

Now is the holiday season in Sweden. It affects maternity care in Växjö which closes two of six birth rooms during the summer.

– I think it looks good, we have four birthplaces compared to previous sex, says Jennie Ronéus who is the operations' manager at the clinic in Växjö and is not worried about the summer to SVT Småland.

The two premises will be used for other things during the summer, but can be quickly restored to the birth room if necessary.

– If it becomes necessary we can open the rooms again, it does not take long to make them ready, says Ronéus to SVT Småland.
