Classic restaurant in Växjö in bankruptcy
The restaurant Tipshallen has gone bankrupt after over 30 years. In recent years, the restaurant has been run by Ismet Bingöl's company Norrgatan kitchen. He is now criticizing the landlord Vöfab who he does not think helped him enough.
– I was just getting started. Then the coronavirus started spreading around. The landlord did not want to help anymore, so I had to go bankrupt, says Ismet Bingöl to Smålandsposten.
Vöfab have lowered the rent by over 10,000 Swedish crowns a month, but Ismet Bingöl wanted to get rent-free for a few months in order to be able to temporarily close the restaurant and then open when the crisis has settled.
– He has had a hard time ever since he moved in. We have helped him tremendously, both with reduced rent, rent rebate and rent-free months. We have done everything in our power to give him the opportunity to run this restaurant, says Christer Carlsson, CEO of Vöfab, to Smålandsposten.
