Customers were locked up in Växjö Store
During Saturday, three people were locked in at Blomsterlandet in Växjö. The people had walked around in the outdoor department to choose plants and pots and when they arrived to the checkout all staff had closed and gone home. It was after closing time, which the visitors had missed.
– The lights were switched off, but the radio was switched on. We tried to call Blomsterlandet, but were connected directly to an automatic answering machine. We sat well for 40 minutes, but we had each other's company so there was no major danger, says one of the people to Smålandsposten.
The locked-in managed to get hold of staff from the neighbor Willys who called up staff at Blomsterlandet, which eventually led them out of the alarmed shop.
– It is incredibly unfortunate. I have talked to my staff about how this could have happened, but all routines have been followed. We will review this so that it never happens again, says Blomsterlandet’s store manager Niklas Andersson to Smålandsposten.
