Decontamination of bedbugs increases

In 2018, the number of decontamination of bed bugs in Kronoberg County increased. Anticimex performed 400 decontamination compared to 393 the year before. However, the number of decontamination carried out in the country has decreased by six percent compared with 2017.

- The reason why the decontamination has been reduced this year is probably due to better and more effective methods. Another reason is that one are more aware of the problem today, and we are hired to a greater extent for preventive purposes, before the problems have taken hold. However, we do not know if the downward trend will stay for long, we will see when we close in 2019, says Håkan Kjellberg, expert at Anticimex.
