Demolition of Rönnedal is appealed

At the end of April, the City Council of Alvesta decided to demolish the rental properties at Rönnedal. Now the decision has been appealed by both politicians and residents.
– It will be much more expensive to demolish than one first said. Therefore, it is better to sell. And it is better to bring in 15-20 million on a sale than to spend at least as much on demolition, says Ulf Larsson, council member of the Liberals, who has appealed the decision to Smålandsposten.
According to the newspaper, one of the residents writes: "There is no opportunity to get housing that is suitable for the families who live in these houses." and "The result is that families with children end up in a difficult situation".
