Different Ramadan this year - the mosque in Växjö is closed

This week, the big religious holiday for muslim people, Ramadan, begins. But because of the corona pandemic it will be different. The mosque is closed and there will be no big celebration when Ramadan ends.
– It will be a different Ramadan, of course, but it is just as important to protect others as yourself, our call has been to move in from the traditional way of celebrating this year, says Ismail Abuhelal, imam in Växjö, to P4 Kronoberg.
According to P4 Kronoberg, the county's Muslims are urged to stay home and not visit each other.
