The economic violence against women is increasing. According to SVT Småland, it can be that the man, through threats and violence, takes SMS loans in the woman's name.
– It is not uncommon that the woman who comes to us is not aware that they may be exposed to financial violence or how widespread it is. One does not have that insight into the economy because it is a part that the man has taken over and controls, says Caroline Coucher, business manager at the women's magazine Blenda, to SVT Småland.
