Employment stop are proposed in Alvesta

Committees in Alvesta municipality are expected to lose about 48 million Swedish crowns this year. Action is required because the situation is cumbersome.

The opposition has proposed that both employment stops and purchase stops should be introduced.

– These are drastic and tough measures. I have been there once before when we had to take such measures and then probably everyone felt that we were doing it too late, says opposition councilor Thomas Johnsson (M) to Smålandsposten.

The issue will now be addressed in the City Council. If the members of the Alvesta Alternative and the Swedish Democrats vote in favor of the proposal, which the Moderates, Christian Democrats and Liberals have put forward, it will go through.
