Every fourth hospital bed disappear

During the holiday, the number of hospital beds around Sweden is reduced. According to a survey done by the newspaper Dagens medicin, is at least 3,000 places.
In Kronoberg, every fourth hospital bed will be temporarily withdrawn, which in turn leads to patients waiting longer for care.
– Like other summer periods, we need to offer statutory holidays. Occupations cannot solve the question and then a reduction is required. The fewer places we can manage in the normal situation, the more vulnerable we will be in the summer, says Per-Henrik Nilsson, Director of Health and Health Services, to SVT News Småland.
