The Public Employment Service has decided to warn 4 500 employees about termination. The notification is laid nationally and it is still uncertain how many that will be affected in Kronoberg. But the percentage is about 70 to 80 employees in the county.

– It is always dull when this happens. Especially for the staff involved. At the same time, it is a part of being a state authority. We receive the grants and must adapt our operations based on the budget conditions, says David Fridlund, who is head of the Employment Service in Kronoberg to Smålandsposten.

At the earliest in April, approximately 220 employees in Kronoberg will know if they are relevant for a possible dismissal.

– The employees have thoughts and concerns. But at the same time, I think that our staff has had a very good focus on the business, says David Fridlund to Smålandsposten.
