Fauna passages are being built on highway 25

The Swedish Transport Administration plans for several fauna passages on national highway 25 on the Växjö-Hovmantorp and Lessebo-Tomeshult routes.

The passages makes it easier for animals to cross the road safely and to reduce the risk of wildlife accidents.

– We are now planning for a series of measures that will significantly reduce the number of wildlife accidents and significantly increase road safety. The measures will also make it easier for both large and small animals to move more freely in the area, says Friderike Liljengren, project manager at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The goal is to start construction in 2022 and that fauna passages will be completed in 2023.
