Firefighter Daniel Jibbers from Gemla has since this spring lived in Queensland, Australia, for a one-year firefighter exchange. He has been involved in extinguishing the fires that have hit Australia. They are something completely different from the fires that have hit Sweden in the past.

– It was pretty scary on and off I'll admit. It's something completely different from what I've been used to. There was no small flame in the loganberry rice that I tried to put out, says Daniel Jibbers to P4 Kronoberg.

He describes the fires as crazy and the flames are up to 60 meters high. At the same time it blows heavily.
