Free bus card for young people in Alvesta

Alvesta municipality will pay bus cards to school children this summer. This means that young people between the ages of 13 and 18 will be able to travel free of charge throughout the county with both bus and train during the summer. It will be an investment that will cost the municipality about 370,000 Swedish crowns.

– We do not have much money at all, but we think it is important to give young people this opportunity. Alvesta is a rural municipality, many young people are at risk of becoming a couch potato says Alvesta's municipal councilor Per Ribacke (S) to SVT Småland.
