At night, up to 100 drivers can gather in the parking lot at Grand Samarkand. They drive around and make wheel tracks in the asphalt. The damage costs between 50,000 and 100,000 Swedish crowns each year.

Now Grand Samarkand is acting and setting up road booms to stop drivers from getting into the parking at night.

– After much thinking, the decision to set up road booms in the parking lot was made. There will be a total of six barriers who will go down at 22.30 in the evening and who fold up again six in the morning. I would like to point out that the booms do not affect the entrance to McDonald's, which is open until two at night, says Mats Jäderberg, center manager at Grand Samarkand.

Road booms should be used in a few weeks.
