Green light for the new Fagrabäck's roundabout

Last May, the municipality of Växjö decided to cancel a part of Fylleryd's nature reserve to rebuild the Fagrabäcks roundabout in Växjö. The decision was appealed to the government, which now gives the municipality the right.

- This is the message we have been waiting for. With the government's rejection of the appeal, we can now begin the next step in the process with the Fagrabäck roundabout. The new traffic point will mean a simplification of Växjö's everyday life as it increases accessibility and improves road safety, says Anna Tenje (M), the municipality's chairman.

This means the nature reserve and the Swedish Transport Administration can now complete the road plan. Once it has been established, the contract for the work can begin.
