He receives this year's Linnaeus scholarship
This year's Linnaeus scholarship for research in ecologically sustainable development goes to Yahya Jani. He is awarded by Kalmar and Växjö municipality for his research project "Old and electronic waste glasses as new sources of metals".
The project is about recovering glass and metals from glass waste and electronic waste.
– An exciting project, with a strong connection to Småland and the glass kingdom. This means that the areas were the glas is made can be a valuable assets, says Anna Tenje (M), the municipal board chairman of Växjö municipality.
The Linnaeus scholarship is worth 500 000 Swedish crowns.
