Large decrease of graffiti

The graffiti has decreased in Växjö, according to figures from the Crime Prevention Council, that Hem & Hyra compiled. Last year, 92 graffiti crimes were reported in Växjö. This is a sharp decrease compared to 2014, when the figure was 262 reported crimes.
– We have long had the intention of zero tolerance for graffiti in the municipality. We work quickly to get rid of it and we always make a police report, says Anna Tenje, chair of the local council in Växjö, to Hem and Hyra.
In Alvesta, the graffiti has also fallen sharply, from 56 reported crimes in 2014 to two in 2018.
