Man raped a sleeping woman in Växjö

At the beginning of March, a 25-year-old man raped a sleeping woman at Campus in Växjö.

The man and the woman lived together as friends and the rape happened when the woman had fallen asleep on the couch in their shared apartment. The woman woke up when the man, who had come home from a party, snapped up her pants and had his hand between her legs. He also put his hand inside her shirt.

The 25-year-old is sentenced to one year's imprisonment for rape. In addition to the prison sentence, the man must pay over 88,000 Swedish crowns in damages to the victim.
