Mario Vasilj becomes new assistant coach in Öster

Former player Mario Vasilj becomes the new assistant coach in Östers IF. He will also be responsible for the coaching of the U21 team.

– It feels a bit like a dream coming tru. Hopefully, I can contribute with experience from my career as a player and things I have learned over the years from different coaches that I have had. I also hope to be able to work individually with the players on another level and it will be really fun to get started, says Mario Vasilj on the Öster website.

The contract is valid until 202.

– It feels incredibly fun to join Majje on this trip. A guy who knows the association from the inside out and personifies Östers IF and what the club stands for. Majje with his long playing experience will be able to share his knowledge to our players in today's squad. Both our young players, but also our older ones. The idea is that we will work together as a team - but with an extra focus on our defense game, says head coach Denis Velic.

Mario Vasilj made his final season in the Öster shirt in 2018.
