Market hall is planned in central Växjö

A new meeting place for food lovers is planned in central Växjö. A building permit application has been submitted to redevelop the premises on Klostergatan 5. It will be a café with mini-halls in the former premises of Önska where it is now a temporary flea market.
The idea is that the business will have a café and a handful of mini shops with Småland and Island delicacies as well as spices and oils from the Mediterranean.
- I had a similar idea with the old station house in Växjö. That was 12 years ago, says architect Björn Linus Holmberg, who is behind the project, to Smålandsposten.
