Midsummer celebrations in the county

On Friday, Midsummer is celebrated and there are several public celebrations to take part of.

At Evedal in Växjö there will be celebrations at 11-16. Bo Frank inaugurates the celebration and there will be midsummer bars, pony rides, bouncy castles and raffles. In addition, Folkdanslaget Värendsgillet is there to give a dance show.

Vederslöv Dänningelanda hembygdsförening arranges midsummer celebration at the Hembygdsgården. There will be singing, music, games and dancing around the maypole.

At Kvarnabacken in Rottne there will be dance shows by Värendsgillet and dance around the maypole.

In Alvesta, Midsummer is celebrated at the Riksdagsmannagården. The dance begins at 14 but already the night before the maypole is dressed.

At Hovmantorps hembygd, Hanz Henriksson leads the dance and there are lotteries and other entertainment.

"Glasriket Symphonic Band" invites you to a Midsummer party at Intaget in Lessebo. Conferences are Carina Engman and there is, among other things, a fish pond for the children.

On Midsummer's morning, the maypole is dressed in Grimsnäs. Later in the day there will be dancing, singing and music.

At 15, Musikkåren marches from the glassworks to Kosta Folkets Hus. When the maypole is up there will be dance around it and the dancing later continues indoors in the dance hall.
