More new constructions for sale

In Sweden, the supply of co-operative apartments increased in January compared with the same month last year. Kronoberg had more co-operative apartments for sale this year, according to new statistics from SBAB and Booli.

In the second-hand market, there were 176 co-operative apartments for sale, exactly as many as in January 2017. On the other hand, the number of newly-built co-operative apartments was more in January this year than the same month last year, a total of 428.

- The summary is a reminder that Sweden's housing market is not a single one but very varied. In some places and in counties outside the metropolitan regions, one has never identified with the description of the new production market, but it has been tough as usual, says Claudia Wörmann, Housing Economist at SBAB.
