More residents get free dentistry
Kronoberg • Publicerad 2 januari 2019
At the turn of the year, the age limit for duty-free dentistry was raised from 22 to 23 years. This means that more residents in the county can go to the dentist without paying. The age limit has been increased from 19 years to 23 years in recent years.
Annika Kahlmeter, Dental Director at Region Kronoberg, says that one is not fully supported by the state for the extension of the free dentistry.
– The insurance is not financed by the state. Therefore, reform costs more money than we get in, she says to Smålandsposten
