More residents in Växjö and Alvesta

In 2018, Växjö's population increased by 1 507 people. At the turn of the year, the number of people living in Växjö was 92 567, according to new figures from SCB.
In total, 1 507 children were born and 1 110 people passed away. There are also more people who move to Växjö from the rest of the county, Sweden and abroad than the ones who move out from the municipality.
In Alvesta, the population increased with 124 people and the municipality now has 20 150 inhabitants. In Lessebo, the number of residents decreased by 26 people and the population is now 8 780.
