New decision on new hospital in Växjö

Later in May, the regional council will decide whether a new hospital will be built in Växjö. On Tuesday, the Regional Council's work committee decided to appoint a new building just outside Växjö.

Several of the parties represented in the regional board are behind the recommendation to the council. In its recommendation, the Working Committee attaches great importance to a new hospital being adapted to what we know today about future care, for example the development of the "close care" where primary care will in the long run have a greater overall responsibility, writes Region Kronoberg in a press release.
