New initiative from Öster i Samhället
Night football in Tipshallen has become a success. Now comes a new venture from Öster i Samhället. Together with the Idrottskliniken, they will start a whole new activity and gym training on Friday nights. The investment is aimed solely at girls.
– Young girls need their own arena, where you can meet from all quarters. It feels fantastic to be able to start this activity for girls - with girls, together with Idrottskliniken. Another step in the development for Öster i Samhället and showing that we are on the right path into the future, says Sara Lennqvist, CSR manager in Öster, in a press release.
The investment starts on January 10th. Then Idrottskliniken opens its gym on I11 only for girls between 19.30 and 21 with a focus on gym and group training.
– Idrottskliniken thinks that Öster i Samhället has done a fantastic job with its activities in recent years, especially around Night Football. When the question came to us about being involved in any way, it felt like a matter of course for us. Being able to now offer gym training for girls together with Öster i Samhället feels amazing, says Patrik Mattsson and Ingela Melander Julin from Idrottskliniken.
The aim of the initiative is to activate girls and to create a gathering place for everyone regardless of background and culture. There will be female instructors on site and the focus is on everyone in upper level lower secondary school and high school.
