No sunflower field in Växjö

A couple of years ago, it was decided that no sunflowers should grow on Östrabobacken in Växjö. Since then, the soil has got a chance to recovered and instead of groing sunflowers, the soil has been fertilized and animal feed has been planted.

The soil is now ready for sunflowers again but there will not be a sunflower field this year either. P4 Kronoberg reports that grains have been sown instead. As in 2016, the plan was to raise money through sponsorships and donations. But, unlike four years ago, they did not get the money together this year.
