Police are seeking help - want to solve murder cases in Växjö
A group of crime investigators in the police region of the South are working on unsolved murders and killings, which is called cold cases. Six new cases have now been published on the police website and among these there is a murder in Växjö.
This is the case of the murder of Ola Karlsson in 2005. He was found seriously injured in the square in the Dalbo Center on September 10. According to testimonies, he must have been in disputes with a number of people before. The man died on the spot as a result of injuries.
The police want tips from the public in order to be able to move on in their investigations.
- We know that there are people who have valuable information to provide to us, and we appeal to them to contact us. The information they have can lead to a case being cleared, a perpetrator being prevented from committing new crimes and above all it will be a relief to relatives, loved ones and to a victim who gets an explanation for the terrible thing that has happened, says the group's chief commissioner Bo Lundqvist.
There has been another murder in Växjö before among the cold case group's publications. That is the murder of Erik-Axel Eriksson in March 1992.
