Police warn parents in Växjö

Växjö's municipal police issue a warning to parents, Smålandsposten writes. Blackmailing occur among young people where they receive a text message that must pay money otherwise pictures of them will be posted.

– We want to encourage everyone to be vigilant. If you are exposed, you must report this to the police, says Gunilla Svensson, municipal police in Växjö to Smålandsposten.

– Many people do not report because they think it will get worse. Parents can also hesitate to report because of fear of what may happen, says Gunilla Svensson.
