Public health authorities' calls to wash their hands properly and to stay at home if you are ill not only seem to halt the coronavirus's progress. The number of cases of winter sickness, for example, is very few for the season.

Christian Blomkvist, therefore, believes that one can conclude that the prompts halt the coronavirus as the pathways of infection are about the same as winter sickness and seasonal flu.

- If we can draw parallels to winter-sickness and seasonal flu, it would be strange if we did not affect the corona as well, says Christian Blomkvist to Smålandsposten.
