Rent increase in Växjö is appealed

The apartments in the Alabaster neighborhood have been renovated. Over 300 apartments in the area are expected to receive high rent increases after the renovation. Six apartments have been assessed and the is about to increase by between 20 and 40 percent, depending on the size of the apartments. Now, three tenants have chosen to appeal the decision.

– Having jointly reviewed the rent committee's decision and the justification for this, we felt that there were some doubts about how the decision was reached, says Victor Herrera, case officer at the tenant association Sydost, to Hem & Hyra.
