Rescuing helicopters in Växjö

Due to the heat and the great fire risk, the Swedish Agency for Social Protection and Preparedness (MSB) has eight helicopters in the highest readiness. The rescue helicopters should be able to be present in the event of fires within 90 minutes. Two of the helicopters are located in Växjö.
- We follow the fire risk values and have seen that it is about to become worse situation with high risks throughout the country. That makes the priorities challenging, says Britta Ramberg, Deputy Director of the Unit for Operations at MSB, to Kvällsposten.
