School in Växjö is being rebuilt for 262 million Swedish crowns
Växjö • Publicerad 22 januari 2020
There have been plans to rebuild Ulriksbergskolan for many years. Now the plans are just a decision in the municipal council from becoming a reality. The process is underway for the project, which will cost 262 million Swedish crowns, writes Smålandsposten.
The money will be invested in renovations and extensions of the school. First, a new full-scale gymnasium will be built and then the extension and renovation will take place in stages. The school now has about 300 pupils, but within a few years the number of pupils is expected to have increased to 450.
There will also be a new preschool with five departments, new craft halls, a new cooking kitchen and a new dining hall. Everything is expected to be ready by the summer of 2024.
