Suspected of shooting is released in Växjö

Late on Sunday evening, police arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of shooting at Furutåvägen in Växjö. The man, who has previously been unpunished, has been arrested ever since, but he was released on Wednesday forenoon.

– The arrest is void, I did not have enough evidence to request him arrested. The preliminary investigation continues and I have not written off the suspicions. The suspicions have not really weakened, but they have not been strengthened either. What we have obtained does not change the assessment, but we must continue to investigate broadly what has happened at the crime scene and who may be behind this, says prosecutor Lise-Lotte Norström who leads the preliminary investigation into Smålandsposten.
