The chains' new restaurants in Växjö are delayed

In March, ChopChop and KFC would open at the Samarkand area in Växjö. But because of the concerns about the coronavirus, both restaurant chains have chosen to postpone their openings.

Interest in the new restaurant establishments on Handelsvägen in Växjö has been great. The popular chains will open restaurants with drive through but due to the coronavirus, the openings are delayed.

– The restaurant is ready, but due to the prevailing situation it is not advisable to open now. We will wait until we know more. At this moment, we do not know what the authority will say. They may close all restaurants in a few days, says Jesper Hollstrand, marketing manager at KFC.

ChopChop would open its restaurant on Wednesday, but announces that the opening will be postponed in the future as the health of the guests and employees goes first.
