The family center in Araby leads a major project

The “Rinkeby model” is a model where the municipality makes home visits, provides counseling and guidance material to first-time parents during the child's first 15 months.

Växjö Municipality now announces that the family center in Araby will be the basis for the Rinkeby model in Växjö. According to a press release, the Rinkeby model will be expanded and the project is aimed at children and their parents in socioeconomically vulnerable areas.

– By working closely, we hope to be able to reach the families in need of extra support early. The goal is to increase the conditions for equal health and care and for the children to have a good and safe upbringing, says Magnus Wibert, acting department head of children and family.

Växjö municipality has also been given a national assignment and will support other municipalities in their work when they do the same.
