The giant chain opens in Växjö

XL-Bygg has over 130 stores in Sweden, several of which are located in Kronoberg County. Next year, the chain will also open in Växjö.

At Lenhovdavägen, next to the Qstar gas station, a 3,000 square meter store with a drive-in planned. The real estate company Alhansa has just submitted an application for a building permit to the municipality.

- We expect an opening during the late spring or summer 2020. The plot is attractive, both geographically and sign site. It feels quite right with a construction trade in that part of Växjö, says Lars Håkansson, CEO of Alhansa Fastigheter.

The property is located near the growing industrial and commercial area Norremark, which is positive according to Lars Håkansson.

- If it continues to grow, construction companies will be able to become customers and residents in the neighborhoods around will not have to go all over town to shop their goods.

Alhansa Fastigheter has purchased the plot of Växjö municipality.
