Before the summer, work began on the construction of two pitches at Virdavallen. Now the new artificial turf is approved and ready.

– The pitch is really nice. The guys in the A-team were absolutely thrilled when they got to play on it, says Jocke Spångberg, coach of AGIF's A-team, to Smålandsposten.

The new pitches cost around 11 million Swedish crowns and in the future it may be relevant to rent them to other associations in the municipality.

– We will try to rent it out as far as space is concerned, I know that Slättthög BoIF and the new Alvesta team “Alvesta United” want to. But the pitches are obviously mainly for the A-team and the youth team to have somewhere to play during the winter, says Jocke Spångberg to Smålandsposten.
