More and more police officers are employed by the police. This creates problems in the police house in Växjö. According to P4 Kronoberg, it is already very crowded today and the authority is renting neighboring properties. Within the next few years even more working spaces will be needed in the police house.

– I am positive to the fact that we are getting more staff, but in order to deal with this we have to take certain measures. An alternative could be to expand the existing police housing, another to find more premises or to look at new construction, says Jonas Eek, Växjö's local police area manager, to P4 Kronoberg.
