The police in Växjö warn of corona fraud

Police in Växjö urge elderly people to be extra vigilant of fraud attempts due to the coronavirus.
"It has come to the attention of the police that elderly people are called by people who offer to shop for them because of the coronavirus. The police cannot rule out that fraudsters can take advantage of this situation and therefore want to encourage older people to be extra vigilant. Do not hand over money in advance or cards and codes to people you do not know.”, writes the police in a press release.
The police are calling for elderly people who need help to contact relatives, neighbors or groups that organize this sort of help.
