The Växjö police guard with drones
Between January 20 and April 19, the police in Växjö will use drones to guard large parts of Araby and Spetsamossen in central Växjö.
"Camera surveillance through UAS / drones is a necessary complement to the police's other operations to prevent or detect serious criminal activity, investigate or prosecute such crimes.” the police wrote on their Facebook page.
Camera surveillance will take place between 16.00 and 05.00 on weekdays and between 14.00 and 06.00 on Saturdays and Sundays as well as school-free holidays. Only public places such as open spaces and green areas will be filmed.
